Our latest podcast is now up. 😀
After our post a few days ago touching so many salon owners hearts I decided to put it into a podcast and also combine “Is your salon ready to reopen?”
Are you ready to reopen? If we could open tomorrow are you good to go?
🔺 Have you DEEP cleaned the salon?
🔺 Have you completed a risk assessment?
🔺 Have you had 121s with your teams?
🔺 Have you ordered your PPE?
🔺 Have you told your customers how the salon is going to run?
So much to think of! So let’s get started. 🖤
Our livelihoods stripped from us.
Heartbroken when you walk in and it’s completely empty. We have worked years for everything to be taken away from us in a second.
The anxiety is through the roof for most. Do we take bookings for July or do we not? Not knowing what to implement when there is no set guidelines and worrying they will be pounced on us a couple of days before! Working on risk assessments and putting policies in place to keep your team and clients safe but left on your own to make these big decisions that are in your hands.
This pandemic has never happened to any of us yet we are left like we should know the answers to everything. Had the same support as all other businesses yet most are able to reopen the doors and we are left to struggle to keep the business afloat. The pressure is real!
Investing in PPE & new equipment to make our salons as safe as possible is adding huge and ongoing expenses when nothing is coming in and business is predicted to be down 20% in our industry.
Some days you wake up and think is this all worth it? It’s exhausting and we are tired.
What amazes me is how the industry has come together. Salons supporting each other, confiding in one another and lifting each other up.
We WILL keep strong and we WILL survive.
But please remember what us salon owners are facing right now in our businesses. Big changes, the safety of others in our hands, making decisions we don’t want to and keeping everything afloat.
Remember your why bosses! We can do this 💪🏻
