Katie’s journey started at just 13 years old when she left school without any qualifications due to severe bullying. The impact was so intense that she struggled with her mental health and even attempted to end her life multiple times. But deep down, Katie knew she was destined for more.

After being scouted by a modeling agency, she began working and traveling the world from a young age. This experience didn’t just build her confidence; it also taught her how to market herself and use the internet to grow a personal brand, skills that would become invaluable later on.

At 18, Katie decided to take the plunge and open her own modeling agency, “KG Model Management,” from her parents’ office. Soon, she was representing models worldwide.

It wasn’t long before Katie saw an opportunity to combine both the agency and a salon when she come across a location she loved That’s how KG Salon was born.

Within months, the salon had more of a call for beauty treatments, that she had to make the tough decision to close the modeling agency and focus entirely on the beauty industry. It was a difficult call, but one she knew was right for her long-term vision.

The early years were tough, really tough. Katie had to figure everything out from scratch, from getting clients through the door to building a team. Living at home with her parents, she survived on just £40 a week, barely enough to get by, and there were countless moments where she felt like giving up. Bankruptcy even crossed her mind more than once.

But Katie pushed through. Her determination paid off, and KG Salon eventually grew into a multi-award-winning brand. From there, she didn’t stop. She went on to open multiple salons, which she later sold, product range, training academy and coaching business.
